One Poem from Jari Thymian
Short Story of a Long Marriage
She grew up in Big Stone County.
He, in Rock County.
They married and moved
to the Rocky Mountains
where they practiced
hurling increasingly larger
stones at each other until
they agreed to tie a boulder
to their vows. Drown their
misery to stop the bleeding.
